Greater Media's Sports Talk 950 WPEN Signs former NFL Quarterback Glenn Foley to be On-Air in Philly
Greater Media, Inc. announces that former NFL and Boston College two-time All-American quarterback Glenn Foley has been added to the Sports Talk 950 WPEN on-air team in Philadelphia.
He will be a co-host for the new morning show. He will be paired with Program Director / Morning Show Host, Gregg Henson. The show officially starts today.
Foley is no stranger to football. A two-time All-American quarterback at Boston College, Glenn started 46 straight games before being drafted by the New York Jets in 1994. Glenn played with the Jets from 1994-1998 before being traded to the Seattle Seahawks.
During his career Glenn was lucky enough to play for some of the NFL's best coaches including Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, Mike Holmgren, Charlie Weis and Tom Coughlin, as well as former Eagles head coach Rich Kotite.
A native of Cherry Hill, N.J., Glenn looks forward to sharing his sports opinions and insight each morning on the new Sports Talk 950. When not hanging around a locker room, Glenn can usually be found on a local golf course.
"Having grown up in Philly, I am excited to bring my knowledge and love of Philly sports to the Sports Talk 950 audience," said Foley. “It will be nice to be involved in a sport where I will not get bruised.”
"Foley definitely knows football. During his NFL career he completed a lot of passes, most of them to the opposing team," said Sports Talk 950 WPEN Station Manager Bob DeBlois. “He is an incredibly entertaining guy that listeners will love to talk sports with.”
The new "interview-driven" Sports Talk 950 WPEN continues to attract the hottest names in sports. Since the station launched on October 3rd in Philadelphia, it has featured over 3,500 interviews with the top names in sports.
