The Sales and NTR Assistant helps with the efficiency of the sales operation through providing administrative support to the Director of Sales, Sales Managers and the Account Executives.  We are looking for an exceptional, creative and enthusiastic individual with one to two years’ administrative, and marketing experience.  Event marketing preferred.  If you enjoy working in a fast paced, team-oriented setting, this is the position for you.

The ideal candidate will possess superb written and oral communication skills.   • Assist in daily business tasks – research, client services, campaign development, execution, support and recap. Capable of prioritizing projects.
  • Develop event timelines and task charts to ensure top to bottom execution of events.
  • Attend, set up, and facilitate events through on-site planning and fulfillment.
  • Create/design graphic treatments to accompany station events and sponsorships as well as other related promotional material.

Digital Operations Assistant - Greater Media Charlotte 1110-1079

News Talk 1110 WBT and 107.9 WLNK “The Link” is looking for a sharp and dedicated individual with some entry level experience for a part-time position as a Digital Operations Assistant.  The Digital Operations Assistant works to provide the necessary data to brainstorm and propose digital campaigns and then make sure digital campaigns sold are executed properly and efficiently. This position reports directly to the Director of Digital Strategy and Account Development.

Position Description
Responsibilities include collecting the necessary assets for digital campaigns, scheduling them through the appropriate software, providing quality assurance, capturing tearsheets, collecting statistics, maintaining calendars and inventory available, generating weekly and monthly digital stats reports and pulling statistics and data as requested by the sales and/or promotions team.

Qualifications for a successful candidate will include: Comfort with computers and the internet in general, a quick study, and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience with Google Analytics, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro and HTML is a plus. This position requires an individual who exhibits great interpersonal communication skills, is an enthusiastic and dynamic team player, is customer service-focused, is interested in demanding projects and enjoys working in a fast paced environment. Occasionally, some weekend or holiday hours may be required.

Marketing Department Internship – Graphic Design Focus

Greater Media Charlotte, home to News Talk 1110 AM and 107.9 WLNK is looking for interns for our Graphic Design Internship.  This unpaid internship will work directly with the Marketing Department to create compelling content and graphic presentations for our radio stations.  This is an excellent internship for a student majoring in graphic design or journalism, public relations and marketing.  If you have an eye for design, have excellent verbal/written communication skills and want the chance to create engaging graphics, we want to talk with you! Interns will gain hands on experience in the “art of branding” through creating, editing and presenting custom graphics for web and social media sites.  The Graphics Design intern will be given assignments that are designed to help them understand the importance of graphics design in the promotion of two successful radio stations. Some of the responsibilities could include:

  • Assist with social media projects designed to drive listener engagement
  • Support other marketing personnel to ensure brand continuity
  • Research project content online and in face to face interviews
  • Assist with the maintenance of the design sections of the WBT and WLNK websites

Requirements for this internship include experience with PC and MAC computers and experience with graphic design software such as Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and others.  Must have understanding of how to design for and use social media tools including Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare.  At the conclusion of the internship, the student will have gained experience in developing and coordinating integrated station programs for programming and sales.  In addition, the student will take away an enhanced professional portfolio and resume. Additional Information:

  • Students MUST be at least 18 years old and enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school
  • Students MUST receive course credit for participation in the internship
  • Internship is for a minimum of three months but last no longer than six months

Our talk format provides a rich culture for experiencing the planning and execution of daily radio programming and yields a well-rounded, hands-on experience.  Our Interns learn every aspect of running two highly successful radio stations including

  • Show Production – what it takes to air a daily live radio show
  • News – what goes into delivering up to the minute local and national news
  • Marketing and Promotion – how to engage listeners via on-air promos and local events
  • Interactive – how to drive listeners to our websites and social media platforms

Depending on the internship, Intern could assist the on-air talent, show producers, news reporters and marketing staff in various projects including updating the show’s website, researching and contacting potential guests; creating dynamic website graphics and executing promotional events.  Interns are desired for the following shows and departments:
