Greater Media announces WBT AM/FM “The Dave Ramsey Show” will join the WBT AM/FM on air line-up in Charlotte, North Carolina. The show will be heard from 7pm-10pm weeknights beginning March 2, 2015.
“We are thrilled to have the Dave Ramsey Show join WBT’s outstanding line-up,” said Rick Feinblatt, senior vice president and market manager of Greater Media Charlotte. “Dave’s show is thoughtful, interesting and relevant radio that our listeners will enjoy!”
“The Dave Ramsey Show” airs on more than 550 radio affiliates and is heard by more than 8.5 million listeners weekly. The show began in 1992 and is the largest independently owned, operated and syndicated talk radio show in the country.
“Our show is committed making a difference in people’s lives,” said Brian Mayfield, Vice President of Ramsey Media. “We could not be more excited about being a part of both line-ups and working with each team to make a difference in their respective markets.”
Hosted by New York Times best-selling author, Dave Ramsey, the live radio talk show focuses on life and how it happens to revolve around money. Listeners from across the country call daily to ask Ramsey about: how to start a small business, stop fighting with their spouse, teach their kids about money, save for retirement, get out of debt and other life issues they are struggling with and wondering “What would Dave do in my situation?” The radio show offers hope to listeners who feel lost in their current financial situation. People regularly call in to tell Ramsey how much debt they have paid off and scream that they are now DEBT FREE!

Meyers most recently worked at WNKS-FM/Kiss 95.1 in Charlotte as the midday host from 2009 until late last year and also briefly served as interim Morning Host back in in 2001.
Prior to her arrival in Charlotte, She did swing and weekend shifts at Z100 New York and hosted “Cosmo Radio” at Sirius Satellite Radio. In addition, Meyers worked at Z100 in Portland, Oregon. She began her career at Q102 in Philadelphia.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Kelly to the Link team,” said WLNK-FM Program Director Darla Thomas. “Her major market experience, combined with her extensive knowledge in the digital space, made her the perfect addition to our on-air line up between our two market leading shows, Bob & Sheri and Matt & Ramona. Adding Kelly to our staff is another huge step in the evolution of the Link.”
“I am beyond excited to work with Program Director Darla Thomas and the talented staff at the Link,” said Meyers. “Plus, I get to stay in the city I love, Charlotte.”
Meyers replaces Kelly McKay, who resigned back in December to focus on her own business. Part-timer Jennifer Steel, who has been filling in doing middays since McKay left, will take over the night shift from 7pm-midnight.
