Human Resources Coordinator – Greater Media Charlotte
Greater Media Charlotte, home of WBT and WLNK radio, is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to be their next Human Resources Coordinator. This is a great full-time position for an individual with at least two years experience as an HR Generalist.
Duties will include, but not be limited to, payroll, benefit administration, employee relations, recruitment, FCC/EEO Compliance, coordination and implementation of internship program, tracking yearly performance reviews, and limited administrative support to the General Manager. Experience with ADP Enterprise and Payroll Systems a plus. The HR Coordinator teams with each department to ensure HR processes and protocol are understood and followed.

Marketing Department Internship – Graphic Design Focus
Greater Media Charlotte, home to News Talk 1110 AM and 107.9 WLNK is looking for interns for our Graphic Design Internship. This unpaid internship will work directly with the Marketing Department to create compelling content and graphic presentations for our radio stations. This is an excellent internship for a student majoring in graphic design or journalism, public relations and marketing. If you have an eye for design, have excellent verbal/written communication skills and want the chance to create engaging graphics, we want to talk with you!
Interns will gain hands on experience in the “art of branding” through creating, editing and presenting custom graphics for web and social media sites. The Graphics Design intern will be given assignments that are designed to help them understand the importance of graphics design in the promotion of two successful radio stations.
Some of the responsibilities could include:
- Assist with social media projects designed to drive listener engagement
- Support other marketing personnel to ensure brand continuity
- Research project content online and in face to face interviews
- Assist with the maintenance of the design sections of the WBT and WLNK websites
Requirements for this internship include experience with PC and MAC computers and experience with graphic design software such as Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and others. Must have understanding of how to design for and use social media tools including Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare. At the conclusion of the internship, the student will have gained experience in developing and coordinating integrated station programs for programming and sales. In addition, the student will take away an enhanced professional portfolio and resume.
Additional Information:
- Students MUST be at least 18 years old and enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school
- Students MUST receive course credit for participation in the internship
- Internship is for a minimum of three months but last no longer than six months

Production Interns

Are you looking for an exciting internship that is different from all the rest? Do you want an internship that will motivate you and open your eyes to potential career opportunities? If so, we may have what you are looking for at WBT and WLNK!
Our talk format provides a rich culture for experiencing the planning and execution of daily radio programming and yields a well-rounded, hands-on experience. Our Interns learn every aspect of running two highly successful radio stations including
- Show Production – what it takes to air a daily live radio show
- News – what goes into delivering up to the minute local and national news
- Marketing and Promotion – how to engage listeners via on-air promos and local events
- Interactive – how to drive listeners to our websites and social media platforms
Depending on the internship, Intern could assist the on-air talent, show producers, news reporters and marketing staff in various projects including updating the show’s website, researching and contacting potential guests; creating dynamic website graphics and executing promotional events. Interns are desired for the following shows and departments:
- Charlotte’s Morning News (5:30am – 9am)
- The Keith Larson Show (9am-12Noon)
- The Brad & Britt Show (3pm-6pm)
- WBT News Department
- Kelly McKay (10am – 3pm WLNK)
- Matt & Ramona (3pm -7pm WLNK)
- WBT/WLNK Promotions and Marketing Department:
