Greater Media Charlotte’s WLNK-FM was awarded the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters 2016 Large Market Radio Station of the Year Award at the organization’s annual convention June 14th at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Beginning in 2013, the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters began an Association Station Awards Program. The NCAB Station Awards are conducted annually to recognize outstanding achievement by North Carolina radio and television broadcasters. This competition was established to encourage the highest standards of reporting, community service, and production creativity. ‘
“I’m so proud of this team and what we’ve accomplished in the past year at 107-9 The Link,” said Darla Thomas, brand manager of WLNK-FM. “ Our strategy is not only about building fun promotions and events, but serving our community with hyper-local campaigns that make a difference. To be recognized by the NCAB with this award is a great honor and one I’m pleased to share with every single person on staff who’s contributed to our success.”
