Greater Media Boston Announces Departure of V.P. Rob Williams

Greater Media announces Rob Williams is leaving his position as Vice President and Market Manager of the company’s Boston-based radio properties. His last day will be Friday, August 21, 2015.

Williams, who has been commuting from Connecticut to Boston since he joined the company in 2012, has accepted another opportunity closer to his home.

“My tenure at Greater Media has been wonderful, and I’m thankful to Peter Smyth for these past three and a half years and I’m forever grateful to my Greater Media Boston team for their exceptional work,” said Williams. “Together we have achieved many records in revenue and ratings and have done it while creating a tremendous work environment marked by a commitment to high performance and to treating people with respect.”

“I completely understand and respect Rob’s decision,” said Greater Media Chairman and CEO Peter Smyth. “We are grateful for the many contributions Rob has made over the past several years in Boston and wish him the best.”

Greater Media, Inc. is the parent company of 21 AM and FM radio stations in the Boston, Charlotte, Detroit, New Jersey and Philadelphia markets. It also owns a group of weekly newspapers in central New Jersey as well as several telecommunications towers.
