WKLB’s Mike Brophey Inducted into the 2014 Country Radio HOF

Greater Media announces Country 102.5/WKLB-FM Program Director Mike Brophey has been named among the inductees of the Class of 2014 Country Radio Hall of Fame. The individuals were indcuted by the Country Radio Seminar (CRS) Board of Directors. Brophey was inducted in the radio category.

“In addition to his incredible programming and rating successes, Mike is a fine leader and has led an incredible team at Country 102.5 FM, ” said Greater Media Boston Vice President and Market Manager Rob Williams. “He is always pushing to do more and “go above and beyond” with on-air events and digital opportunities. The last year has seen so many big wins for WKLB-FM, including CMA Station of the Year, number one ratings in Boston and so much more. It seems only fitting to have him acknowledged in such a prestigious and appropriate way.”

“The recognition of these deserving and worthy HALL OF FAME inductees represent four unique careers filled with accomplishments, contributions and excellence in advancing Country radio,” said CRS HALL OF FAME Chairman RJ CURTIS. “And each of our honorees for 2014 are still actively, passionately and successfully involved with listeners, artists and the music that helps to sustain Country radio’s dominance.”

The class of 2014 was inducted on Tuesday, February 18th at the Country Hall of Fame dinner at the Nashville Convention Center.
