WCSX to Host Fundraiser For Family of Fallen Firefighter

94.7 WCSX hosting a one day fundraising effort for the family of Brian Woehlke, Wayne-Westland firefighter, who was killed in the line of duty. Brian Woehlke was just 10 months into his dream job when he was killed after a roof collapsed on him during a strip mall fire. Brian was the first firefighter killed in the line of duty in the Westland department’s 47 year history. He left behind his wife Jennifer and a 13-month old daughter Ava.

Monday, May 13, 2013 CSX will be out collecting for the family at the following locations:

  • Jim O’Brien at Big Boy at 6360 N. Wayne Rd in Westland from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
  • Ken Calvert at Buddy’s Pizza at 8100 Old 13 Mile in Warren from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Uncle Buck at Roy O’Brien Ford at 22201 E 9 Mile Rd in St. Clair Shores from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Juline Jordan at Malarkey’s Irish Sports Pub at 35750 Warren in Westland from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

If you would like to contribute but can’t make it to one of our collecting events, you can make a check payable to the Westland Firefighters Charity and send it to PO Box 851320, Westland, MI 48185. Checks can also be dropped off to Station 1 at the corner of Ford Road and Central City in Westland.
