Peter H. Smyth Honored by MWPC

On Thursday, April 11th The Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus honored Peter H. Smyth, Chairman and CEO of Greater Media, Inc., at the 12th Annual Good Guys Awards for his continued support of women and families in Massachusetts.
Mr. Smyth is an active philanthropist working with many organizations that advocate for women and families including the United Way of Massachusetts, the New England Baptist Hospital and Emerson College. In addition, he is a supporter of GRLZ Radio, a radio station giving young women a voice in their community.
“We were very excited to honor Peter Smyth as one of our Good Guys,” said MWPC Executive Director Priti Rao. “His dedicated advocacy to advance women serves as a role model to our community. His support of programs and initiatives that improve welfare and safety of women and families has been indispensable.”
“I am thrilled to have received this award from an organization that works to give all women an equal chance at success,” said Mr. Smyth, “It’s a great honor to be recognized alongside such distinguished honorees.”
The 12th Annual Good Guys Awards and luncheon was held on Thursday, April 11th at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston. Mr. Smyth was honored alongside the Honorable Richard R. Tisei, the President of Massachusetts AFL-CIO Honorable Steven A. Tolman, President of Meredith Managament Corporation John E. Rosenthal, President of Citizens Bank and RBS Citizens Massachusetts Jerry Sargent, Governor Deval Patrick, who was this year’s recipient of the Senator Edward M. Kennedy Lifetime Achievement Award.
