WMMR Takes Top Honors @ Convergence
March 5, 2013
WMMR-FM Takes Top Digital Honors at Radio Ink Magazine’s Convergence Event Radio Ink named the winners of the national industry trade publication’s 2013 Convergence Awards for digital and online achievements last night at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.
WMMR-FM’s team of Greg Scirrotto (pictured), Jason Zajac and Nick Murphy won Best Client-Focused Digital Solution for the Miller Lite Phlite Deck integrated campaign. This program, designed to brand Miller Lite with the Philadelphia Eagles and the unique experience of the Miller Lite Phlite Deck, was very digitally intensive, including 20 videos, landing page creation and maintenance, as well as graphics, and engaging online contest elements.
The Miller Lite Phlite Deck program also included custom events, jock appearances, on air announcements, and in some cases meet & eats with the Preston & Steve show.
Now in its third year, the program continues to grow and add new features. In addition to this latest honor, WMMR’s Miller Lite Phlite Deck program was also profiled at the 2012 at the RAB/NAB Radio Show in Dallas as an example of a well-designed integrated marketing campaign.
Other winners also included Hubbard Radio outlet WTOP’s WTOP.com, for Best Radio Station Website (Markets 1-50). Entercom’s WKSE/Buffalo was the Website winner for markets 51+. American Top 40 With Ryan Seacrest won the award for Best Brand Extension Through Streaming, and Beasley/Miami’s SFHSSport.com website (South Florida High School Sports) took honors for Best Use of Social Media.
