January 17, 2013
Veteran Boston radio personality Melissa has joined Boston’s New Hot 96.9 FM for on-air duties. Expect to hear Melissa on Boston’s New Hot 96.9 following the 13,000 songs in a row to kick off the New Year.
Melissa most recently served as a producer and personality on the JAM’N 94.5 morning show with Ramiro Torres. In addition, she has been featured in numerous notable media events, including red carpet appearances at several major movies and serving as a judge and correspondent on the Emmy Award-winning TV show Community Auditions. In addition, she’s appeared on Phantom Gourmet, Chronicle and more.
“I am beyond ecstatic to join the Greater Media team,” said Melissa. “I will be forever indebted to Rob Williams who ultimately gave me the opportunity to work with the most brilliant programmer in the industry: Cadillac Jack, who is the man who gave me my start in this business. The thought of rejoining my radio sister of many years, Pebbles, just makes this union all the more exciting. I can’t wait to get started and make radio history!”
“Melissa is a talent who I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, having watched her development and growth over many years,” said Greater Media Boston Director of Programming Cadillac Jack. “The Boston audience loves her contagious energy and enthusiasm. I was pleased to learn she was already a part of the Greater Media team when I joined the company. Melissa will be perfect for the all-new Hot 96.9 and I’m looking forward to many more great times with her in the years to come.”
On a personal level, Melissa is a cheerleading coach at Pro Athletics All Stars and for the Taunton Pop Warner program. She has helped judge several talent shows and beauty pageants across New England and was the Creative Director and songwriter for Boston’s own Flam-On Entertainment record label.
