Bob & Sheri Team With USO

December 18, 2012

Nationally syndicated morning show “Bob & Sheri” have partnered with the USO of North Carolina this Thursday, December 20, 2012, for a live broadcast at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

The event appropriately titled, USO Victory Block Leave, and code named, Operation Exodus, will help usher over 15,000 troops who have been stationed overseas, and at local bases including Camp Lejeune near Wilmington, NC, Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville, NC, Ft. Jackson in Columbia, SC, and Parris Island near Beaufort, SC through the Charlotte Douglas International Airport as they head home for the holidays.  The airport really is a humble site as it fills up with thousands of fully uniformed military personnel.

The USO of NC, located inside the airport, regularly hosts all currently serving military and veterans throughout the year on a daily basis, by providing them computer services, free Wi-Fi access, a family and children’s play area, snacks and beverages, or just a nice place to rest as they wait for their planes home. But on the morning of Operation Exodus, the number of troops that the USO of NC houses more than quadruples for this one day.

Bob and Sheri are strong military supporters and being on site during the Operation Exodus event will allow them to capture the heartfelt tales and stories for our military, as they long to head home to see families awaiting them.  Plus, the holiday spirit is strongly in the air.   While attending, Bob & Sheri are honored to meet and interview many of our service men and women.

A webpage has been set up to cover the event at:  It will host a live streaming feed, as well as, Facebook, twitter, photos, and video updates.
