WMGK-FM Listener’s Holiday Greeting Going on Huge Billboards
December 13, 2012
Purchasing space on the huge billboards that tower over the tri-state area’s busiest highways can be expensive, much too expensive for the average Philadelphian to use one for the purpose of posting a holiday greeting. That’s where Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK-FM comes in. The station wants to help a WMGK listener send out the biggest Christmas card in town by displaying it on eight, huge, electronic billboards that reside on the busiest thoroughfares in the Philadelphia area. On Christmas day, one listener’s creative, interesting or funny holiday picture and accompanying message will be placed on those billboards.
Listeners can enter and upload their picture via the stations’ website, wmgk.com. The picture a listener uses as their entry can be of them, their family, friends, pet(s), neighbor(s), decorations, even a snowman. The station will choose one entry as the winning entry. There will be extra points awarded to entries that contain Classic Rock content.
The deadline for entries is December 20th. The winner will be announced on December 21st . Their entry will be displayed for thousands of holiday travelers to see on Christmas Day, December 25, 2012.
