July 23, 2012

95.7 BEN-FM teamed up with the American Red Cross to host a life-saving blood drive event. The event took place this past April 30th at the Valley Forge Casino in the Independence Ball Room.

Everyone who donated received a $25 “Free Slot Play.” All donors were also entered to win a dinner certificate valued at $50 to the Valley Tavern, which was raffled off at the end of the blood drive. All presenting donors alsol received a voucher for $20 toward fitness classes at Aim High Studio. Other prizes included a pair of concert tickets and an iPod.

“We are extremely fortunate to have partners like 95.7 WBEN-FM and Valley Forge Casino, who recognize the importance of blood drives and the lives they save,” said Anthony C. Tornetta, Regional Communications Manager, American Red Cross. “It is because of great partners like these that the American Red Cross has been able to have such a high success rate.” Some four million people give blood—the gift of life—through the Red Cross, each year, making it the largest supplier of blood and blood products in the United States.
