Bob & Sheri Bring American Patriotism to Your Radio
June 18, 2012
For a Full Week, nationally-syndicated morning show “Bob & Sheri” celebrated America through participation at Flag Day Events and the U.S. Army’s 237th Birthday.
June 8th-10th, Bob & Sheri traveled to New York State where, with the help of the local affiliate 98.5 The Cat, Bob & Sheri participated in the Hudson, NY Flag Day Parade and the Hudson River Cruise. Listeners lined the streets to see Bob & Sheri pass by, while select listeners were chosen to attend a private boat cruise.
On June 13th, 2012, Bob & Sheri turned right back around and traveled to Fayetteville, NC, home to the Army Base, Fort Bragg and Special Operation Forces. That evening, Bob & Sheri participated in a meet and greet for their local affiliate WQSM Q98 in Fayetteville, NC. The Army invited Bob & Sheri specifically to attend the celebrations of the Army’s 237th Birthday and then invited them to personally meet Garrison Commander Colonel Stephen J. Sicinski. Bob & Sheri’s radio show was broadcast live from Fort Bragg at the track featuring the Army’s annual birthday four-mile run on the morning of June 14th. While attending, Bob & Sheri were honored to meet many of our service men and women. They were humbled with the opportunity to interview other ranking officials including the top Commanding General, Major General Rodney O. Anderson.
Over 13,000 soldiers participated in the race, cheering and calling them by name as they ran past the live broadcast of the Bob & Sheri Show.
