Red Cross and BEN-FM Host Blood Drive
April 25, 2012
95.7 BEN-FM is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a life-saving blood drive event. The event will be held on April 30th from 1p-7p at the Valley Forge Casino in the Independence Ball Room.
Everyone who donates will receive a $25 “Free Slot Play.” All donors will also be entered to win a dinner certificate valued at $50 to the Valley Tavern, which will be raffled off at the end of the blood drive. All presenting donors will receive a voucher for $20 toward fitness classes at Aim High Studio. Other prizes includes a pair of concert tickets and an iPod.
“We are extremely fortunate to have partners like 95.7 WBEN-FM and Valley Forge Casino, who recognize the importance of blood drives and the lives they save,” said Anthony C. Tornetta, Regional Communications Manager, American Red Cross. “It is because of great partners like these that the American Red Cross has been able to have such a high success rate.” Some four million people give blood—the gift of life—through the Red Cross, each year, making it the largest supplier of blood and blood products in the United States.
A limited number of appointments are available, so visit www.redcrossblood.org/benfm or call 1-800-RED CROSS to schedule your blood donation appointment.
Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in PA and NJ), meet height and weight requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on their height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you come to donate.
