Each year, Radio Ink selects women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and accomplishment in the radio profession for inclusion on the list, considered one of the industry’s most prestigious honors.

In 2000, the list prompted the start of the mentoring group, also using the acronym, MIW, which stands for “Mentoring, Inspiring Women.” The mission of this group is to provide a network by which women can women build a community of support and guidance to their radio peers.
