Jason Lewis Returns to Greater Media’s WBT AM/FM in Charlotte
Charlotte, NC (April 25, 2011): Greater Media announces syndicated talk radio personality Jason Lewis will return to the WBT AM/FM airwaves to host the “Jason Lewis Show from 9pm – 12am beginning on May 2, 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Known as “America’s Mr. Right,” the veteran radio talk personality is no stranger to the station, having served as an on-air talk radio personality twice throughout the station’s celebrated talk radio history.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jason back to the WBT AM/FM airwaves,” said Program Director Carl East. ”His vast knowledge, wit, candor and humor will provide our listeners with valuable insight on a variety of topics ranging from politics to issues that impact their lives on a daily basis.”
In addition to his syndicated radio show, Lewis also writes a biweekly column for the Star Tribune of Minneapolis and is the author of Power Divided is Power Checked: The Argument for States’ Rights from Bascom Hill Publishing.
He has also worked at KOA in Denver and at KTLK-FM and KSTP-AM Minneapolis-St. Paul, where he was rated number one. In addition, Lewis was a regular substitute host for the Rush Limbaugh program.
The radio veteran was recently selected as one of the top 25 talk hosts in the country by Newsmax Magazine and has been twice featured in ABC Radio’s “The Year in Talk.” He was also named as one of “The Heavy Hundred” most important talk show hosts in the nation by Talkers Magazine in 2011.
In addition, Lewis has been quoted in the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times. He has also written editorials for newspapers throughout the country, including the Wall Street Journal. He has also appeared on such nationally broadcast television programs as NBC’s Today Show, Fox News Channel, CNN, MSNBC and CNBC.
Lewis earned his Masters of Arts Degree in Political Science at the University of Colorado-Denver and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education/Business at the University of Northern Iowa. He also completed the Series 7 General Securities Examination requirement from the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). In 1990, Lewis was the Republican nominee for the United States Congress from Colorado’s Second District.
