Baldinger Added to On-Air Line-up at 97.5 The Fanatic

March 4, 2011

97.5 The Fanatic announces Brian Baldinger has been named the new co-host of the station’s 10:00 AM – noon show every weekday along with Harry Mayes.

He will begin his new role on Monday, March 7th, 2011.

Better known as “Baldy”, Baldinger has been a permanent fixture within the Philly sports scene ever since he joined the Philadelphia Eagles as a player back in 1992. After his successful playing career ended in 1993, Baldinger sought to develop a second career in broadcasting. His passionate and articulate approach, his specific knowledge of sports and his drive to succeed landed him a job broadcasting NFL games on Fox and immersed him in a big-time broadcasting career.

He currently serves as an NFL game analyst for Compass Media Networks and as a studio analyst for the NFL Network. Baldinger also announces college basketball games for Compass.

“We are thrilled to have Brian with us at The Fanatic,” said 97.5 The Fanatic Program Director Matt Nahigian. “Perhaps more than anything, his passionate ability to clearly articulate what is going on sets Baldy apart. He is so much more than just a football guy. For those that haven’t picked that up yet, they’ll find out real soon.”

“I am totally psyched to host five days a week at The Fanatic,” said Baldinger. “Over the past few years I have been tremendously impressed with the growth of the station. It’s the kind of place you just want to be a part of. I look forward to working closely with Harry and talking to our passionate and dedicated Philadelphia sports fans.”
