Preston & Steve’s 6th Annual Cardboard Classic

March 3, 2011

93.3 WMMR’s bi-annual Day Off on the Slopes takes place March 4th at Jack Frost Mountain in the Poconos. Legendary mid-day host, Pierre Robert, and top-rated morning guys, Preston & Steve, will lead thousands of loyal listeners through a crazy day of skiing and cardboard creativity, culminating in the world famous MMR Happy Hour in the E 2000 lounge.

During the festivities, hundreds of fans will participate in Preston & Steve’s 6th Annual Cardboard Classic. These daredevils have built sleds, utilizing only 4 materials: cardboard, string, tape, and glue. Winners in each of 3 different categories (Best Design, Best Coors Light Sled and Fastest Sled) will receive prizes ranging from Coors Light for a year to $1000 cash, plus the much sought after bragging rights.

The best design winners from 2010, led by Captain Jason Lucci of Paulsboro, NJ, created a larger-than-life Stay Puffed Marshmallow Man from the classic Ghostbsuters film.

“Last year’s event was so much bigger and better than we could have ever imagined.  This year will top it,” exclaims Preston & Steve producer, Casey Boy.

The event begins at 10:30am. Your coverage is invited.
