Daulton Returns to 97.5 The Fanatic
February 14, 2011
Philadelphia, PA (February 14, 2011): Greater Media announces Philadelphia baseball legend Darren “Dutch” Daulton will return for another year to host Talk’in Baseball With Dutch to get fans ready for the action weeknights from 6pm-7pm during the 2011 baseball season on 97.5 The Fanatic/950 ESPN.
Daulton is one of the most beloved former players in recent Philadelphia sports history. Dutch had a roller-coaster career with the Phillies – from back-up catcher, to starter, to often-injured and then often-maligned by fans through some struggling years, to leading the National League in RBIs in 1992 and eventually to becoming the unquestioned leader of one of Philly’s all-time favorite teams, the 1993 Phillies. He was the linchpin through it all: a 13 season run with the Phillies that ended in 1997 when the club gave Daulton the chance to go after a World Series, which he was able to win as a very important contributor to the Florida Marlins 1997 championship squad.
Even though his playing career with the Phillies is now over, Daulton remains forever loyal to the team in his heart. Simply put, Darren Daulton is a Phillie. Talk’in Baseball With Dutch is all about leaning on Daulton’s experience as he shares old stories and analyzes the new era Phils during these glory years of Phillies Baseball.
